Los SAG Awards empezaron, ceremonia que desde sus primeros minutos tuvo como protagonistas a las mujeres. Kristen Bell, presentadora, resaltó a las nominadas del cine y la TV que tuvieron como eje central a las mujeres y minorías.
Ella halagó, por ejemplo, producciones como «GLOW», donde mujeres tienen que luchar —literal y figurativamente— por tener más oportunidades como actrices. Tampoco faltó la mención a la cinta «Get Out», donde el racismo llega a un nuevo nivel.
