[dropcap]A[/dropcap]penas unos días después de la entrega de los Globos de Oro han sido desveladas las nominaciones de la 86ª edición de los Oscar y, siguiendo la costumbre, no han dejado a nadie indiferente. Faltan títulos y nombres, y sobran otros. Quizá lo más escandaloso es lo de Tom Hanks, que está impresionante en ‘Capitán Phillips’ (‘Captain Phillips’, Paul Greengrass, 2013). Pero es lo que hay, y no olvidemos que en cierto modo esto también es un juego; hay que llamar la atención, provocar debates y polémicas. De lo contrario, sería muy aburrido.
‘Gravity’ (Alfonso Cuarón, 2013) y ‘La gran estafa americana’ (‘American Hustle’, David O. Russell, 2013) son los títulos que acumulan más candidaturas, diez, y les sigue con nueve ‘12 años de esclavitud’ (‘12 Years a Slave’, Steve McQueen, 2013). Son las tres favoritas para triunfar en la gala que tendrá lugar el próximo 2 de marzo, con Ellen DeGeneres como presentadora.
